Good visuals can have a shocking impact

It might seem obvious that your success as a real estate professional mainly depends on your ability to choose good photography and video.

Indeed, when you dig into the numbers, you realize how good visuals can have a shocking impact. For instance, homes with high quality photographs sell 35 percent faster. Similarly, houses with more photos are more likely to sell faster. A house with several photos spends an average of 30 days on the market, whereas a house with only one single photo spends 68 days on the market.

For homes in the $200,000 to $1 million range, those that include high quality photographs in their ads sell for between $3,000 and $11,000 more. Nowadays, visual tools are increasingly becoming more important since equipment and tools become better and more sophisticated, online platforms become more robust, and augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) extend to our industrial skills.

The National Association of Real Estate Agents® (NAR), in its registration document for members on the subject, underlines that 87 percent of homebuyers who searched the Internet found the photos to be among the most useful features of REALTOR® websites, according to the NAR Profile of Home Buyers & Sellers 2018. Digital photography and virtual tours allow REALTORS® to serve its customers like never before. Digital images can quickly and professionally present a list, and today’s technology expert customers appreciate the convenience of a virtual tour for local and long distance moves.
